We initially hired Guy to replace the flooring on the main level of our home and to remodel our kitchen which included taking a wall down between the kitchen and dining room. What evolved was the addition of a screen porch, the refacing of our brick chimney with field stone and eventually the renovation of our Master Bath, where he completed the intricate tile work himself in addition to the plumbing. There isn’t anything that Guy cannot do. He is a knowledgeable, skilled, and creative custom Builder. He was careful to consult us throughout the project to ensure things were done in accordance with our wishes. We were delighted by his professional manner as he presented us with a detailed contract itemizing anticipated expenses. In spite of the unplanned additions to the job, Guy was diligent to keep track of the associated expenses and present us with timely invoices while always being sensitive to our finances. In 30 years of home ownership, we have never encountered a Contractor as competent, honest and delightful as Guy Brannock.

Guy Brannock is an excellent contractor. He is professional, highly experienced with custom construction, and has those rare intangibles: humility, sense of humor, eye for style, and so much more. We hired Guy to build a two story, custom cottage overlooking a large pond on our property. The site was located about 400 feet from our main home in a challenging spot. We did not want a permanent road to the site so Guy’s crew had to minimize both the trees that were cut down, hand carry materials to the site when it was too muddy for vehicle access, and remove all signs that they had ever been there after the project was completed. Guy’s planning and financial estimates were right on target despite many unique features, including a massive, two story wall of 9 custom-sized windows overlooking the pond, a complicated septic system requirement by the County (the guest home septic system had to be linked to the main home’s drain field, which was uphill from the construction site), and a 2+ story custom stone fireplace. The schedule was very close to what he estimated as well (despite numerous, unpredictable winter weather delays, having to hand carry materials some weeks, and various other surprises that occur during custom construction). Guy handled everything with ease and kept us informed every step of the way. Guy scheduled many small inspections with the County throughout the project to ensure there were no issues at the end. Guy was open and honest about everything, involved us in every decision, and we enjoyed working with him. He keeps a detailed spreadsheet of every item, cost, and adjustment so everyone is on the same page at all times. We’ll use Guy for every future construction project we envision for our property. He has the experience, personality, management skills, financial resources, network of subcontractors, intelligence, integrity, and passion that is so hard to find all in one contractor. We highly recommend Guy Brannock and are grateful to know him!

We hired Guy to complete a kitchen remodel for us. We knew before we even started, in great detail, what costs would be associated with every aspect of the job. He also even worked with us to allow some cost savings where he could so as to keep the budget where it needed to be for our needs. What we love most about Guy is that beyond a very talented contractor, he is an artist with vision. I didn’t just want a designer who said what to do and a contractor who blindly did it. In the middle of our job, if Guy thought there was a better way to do things, or if something would look better, he would suggest it, or do it, even if it meant more time or work for him. Much like a designer does, he got to know us, our likes, dislikes and passions, and it was through those eyes he saw our job. His art, the finished product and our satisfaction always came first. This instilled a lot of confidence on our part. His knowledge and experience was evident in his ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve them swiftly, even if it meant he had to craft/build something by hand or custom create a solution. Finally, as if talent and creativity is not enough, Guy is a complete joy to have in your home. He was easy to talk to, great to my kids and even our dog who often spent more time with him in the after school hours than we did. HIs staff and contractors were also very respectful and easy to work with. All of our future home improvement jobs will have Guy’s name on them, if he is available that is.
